Spanish actor Antonio Banderas said a heart attack he suffered in January 2017 changed his perspective on life. The 65-year-old actor, known for roles in films such as 'The Mask of Zorro' and 'Labyrinth of Passion', described the medical event as a turning point.
Banderas experienced the heart attack while exercising. Following the incident, three stents were inserted into his heart.
The heart attack was the best thing that ever happened to me in my life.
The actor told People magazine that the experience provided a sense of clarity, comparing it to having glasses put on him to see a reality he had not seen before. He stated that the event gave him a better awareness of his priorities.
Banderas has recently appeared in the film 'Paddington in Peru' and the erotic thriller 'Babygirl' alongside Nicole Kidman.
