ASELSAN has developed the TOLUN P guided munition, a bunker buster designed to strike armored structures and reinforced concrete targets. The company shared new footage on its social media accounts showing the munition hitting its target during a firing test conducted from a Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA platform. The test demonstrated the munition hitting its target with full precision.
Developed with domestic and national technologies, the TOLUN P features a specialized penetrator nose structure and high kinetic energy. These attributes are intended for use against fortified underground bunkers, command centers, and armored hangars.
Penetration capability of the TOLUN P munition
The TOLUN P is among the newest munitions in the 250 lb class. It can be loaded in multiple quantities onto platforms such as the AKINCI TİHA through the use of the SADAK-4T Multiple Carrying Rack. Additionally, pilots can program electronic fuses from the cockpit within seconds to target multiple strategic locations in a single salvo shot.
