At least six people were killed in Russian strikes on Ukraine overnight into Thursday, including three in the city of Balakliia in the Kharkiv region and three in the Sumy region.
In Balakliia, three people were killed following Russian strikes on homes.
Vitalii Karabanov, the head of the military administration of Balakliia, reported that one woman was killed during an attack on a single-family home that caused a fire. A second strike near another single-family home killed a man and a woman, according to Karabanov.
Three people were killed and at least 19 were wounded in Russian attacks on settlements in the Sumy region.
The Ukrainian police reported that twelve people were wounded in the city of Sumy following an attack with guided aerial bombs.

Attacks on shipping and drone activity
Russia struck two dry cargo vessels near the Ukrainian Black Sea port of Odesa late on Wednesday.
The Russian Defence Ministry, cited by TASS news agency, stated that the two vessels struck near Odesa were transporting military goods.
The Russian Defence Ministry stated that its air defence systems intercepted and destroyed 605 Ukrainian aerial drones during the night over Russian territory and the annexed Crimean Peninsula.
In the Kherson region, a drone attack on a van wounded six people.
Impact on Russian logistics and infrastructure
In the Tver region of Russia, local authorities reported that a logistics centre belonging to the e-commerce platform Wildberries was damaged by falling debris from a drone.
Vitaly Korolyov, the regional governor of the Tver region, said air defence systems had repelled the Ukrainian attack and that debris from a drone slightly damaged the facade of the Wildberries logistics centre.
Mikhail Yevrayev, the governor of the Yaroslavl region, reported the most massive attack against his region, stating that 92 drones had been shot down. Yevrayev reported that debris from the drone attacks caused fires in houses and damaged cars.
Ukraine has been striking sites belonging to Wildberries across Russia since mid-July.
