Seda Dilber, the candidate for the Republican People's Party (CHP), won the election for Etimesgut Deputy Mayor. The vote took place after the arrest and removal from office of the incumbent Mayor Erdal Beşikçioğlu.

In the first two rounds of the voting process, members of the AK Party and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) cast blank or invalid votes. During these initial rounds, Yeni Parti candidate Mehmet Özdemir received 18 votes, while Seda Dilber received 11.

The outcome changed in the fourth round. Former Member of Parliament Şamil Tayyar stated that Dilber secured the position with 21 votes, attributing the result to support from members of the Cumhur İttifakı.

The Etimesgut Municipal Council includes 12 members belonging to the Cumhur İttifakı. Following the election, Yeni Parti member Umut Akdoğan questioned the possibility of concessions to the AKP and MHP on social media.

Yahu size operasyonu yapan kim? Sizi 4 gün nezarette tutan kim?
— Umut Akdoğan, Yeni Parti member

Akdoğan also claimed that 18 council members who had worked at the grassroots level for years became members of the YENİ Parti.

Etimesgut Deputy Mayor Seda Dilber addressed the political context of her election. She stated that their goal is to protect the mandate until the mayor and colleagues return, adding that they believe in their innocence.
