A former employee has leveled multiple allegations of mistreatment against Sara Netanyahu during her time working at the Prime Minister's residence in West Jerusalem, Israel, according to a report by Israel's Kanal 12 television. These allegations have not been independently verified. Sara Netanyahu did not respond to a request for comment.
The former employee, referred to as 'Y', alleged that Sara Netanyahu showed prejudice against foreign workers and Mizrahi Jewish workers of Eastern origin, treating them as second-class citizens.
According to the employee, Sara Netanyahu was excessively demanding and obsessive regarding cleaning standards. The claims include requirements that every hanger from dry cleaning be wiped with a cloth before being placed on a rack and that floors be cleaned with baby wipes.
Allegations of physical assault and verbal abuse
The former employee alleged that Sara Netanyahu physically pushed them three times due to dissatisfaction with cleaning standards. The employee also stated that Sara Netanyahu personally checked if staff had washed their hands with soap upon entering the residence.

Regarding Yair Netanyahu, the employee alleged that he committed physical violence by pushing them under the pretext that his bedsheets had not been washed.
Labor and discrimination claims
The allegations include claims of discrimination against an African female worker, who was allegedly forced to change into specially prepared clothes every time she entered the residence and was not allowed to take water breaks. The employee further alleged that other staff were instructed to give this worker expired food.
The employee claimed that staff were forced to work excessive overtime in violation of labor rights. Additionally, the former employee alleged that employees were charged for every glass broken during washing.
Other specific claims made by the employee include that approximately 400 pairs of shoes in the residence required wiping with wet wipes, and that every fork and knife was wiped with three separate wet wipes before being put in the dishwasher.
The employee also alleged that Sara Netanyahu once threw a suit belonging to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from a hanger to the floor because a cleaning rule was not fully applied, threatening to make the employee pay for the additional cleaning cost. Furthermore, it was claimed that Sara Netanyahu inspected items thrown away by the Prime Minister one by one and that staff were insulted if trash was disposed of without approval.
