The Ministry stated that shortages could cause a large part of basic diagnostic and treatment services to stop. The serious inadequacy of laboratory materials directly affects the capacity of health teams to intervene to patients and the wounded.
The Ministry reported great difficulties in performing complete blood count (CBC), blood gas, and clinical biochemistry tests required in operating rooms and intensive care units.
