Police and the public prosecutor's office conducted searches of several apartments in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, following months of investigations into a suspected drug trafficking group.
Two men, a 30-year-old Turkish national and a 26-year-old German national, were arrested on Tuesday morning on suspicion of professional drug trafficking in large quantities. The suspects are believed to be part of a group that stored large quantities of drugs and organized courier trips, including routes to Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.
The operation follows a late March search of an apartment in the Hummelsbüttel district of Hamburg, Germany, which uncovered more than 30 kilograms of cocaine and over 40 hashish slabs.

On Tuesday, the public prosecutor's office executed arrest warrants and search warrants for two apartments: one belonging to the 30-year-old in Hamburg Langenhorn and another belonging to the 26-year-old in Norderstedt, Germany. Following identification processing, the two main suspects were taken to prison.
During the searches, investigators seized more than 18,000 euros in suspected drug money, two firearms with ammunition, a brass knuckle, and additional quantities of cocaine.
Two additional suspected drug couriers, aged 21 and 27, were temporarily detained in Norderstedt and Quickborn, Germany, but were later released.
The searches led to the seizure of further evidence.
A spokesperson for the Hamburg Police stated that cocaine in a non-negligible amount was found alongside cash and weapons. The spokesperson also stated that investigations are ongoing.
