The fire near Rodenbach spread toward a holiday home settlement in the forest, but firefighters prevented it from reaching the settlement. The fire was still burning in some hard-to-reach areas as of Tuesday, though a spokesperson for the Main-Kinzig-Kreis stated the fire was largely under control by Tuesday morning. {
Water conservation and emergency warnings
The water supplier in the Main-Kinzig district called on the population to reduce water consumption due to high demand for firefighting. Residents in the municipalities of Bruchköbel, Freigericht-Somborn, Hasselroth, Rodenbach, and Langenselbold were urged to reduce water consumption to the bare minimum to ensure sufficient water reserves. {
The Integrated Control Centre in the Main-Kinzig district alerted residents via the Katwarn warning system, particularly in the Rodenbach municipal area. Due to ash and heavy smoke, residents were advised to close windows and doors and switch off ventilation systems and air conditioning. The Main-Kinzig-Kreis also warned that ash could fall locally and requested that access routes to the fire sites be kept clear. {
Firefighting operations
Firefighting operations continued throughout the night and were expected to last at least through Tuesday. Three fire brigades were continuously stationed overnight in the affected forest area between Ober- and Niederrodenbach, according to claim:31. Around a dozen fire departments from Rodenbach and surrounding areas participated in the operation, according to claim:27, which included firefighters from Bavaria, specifically the Kreisbrandinspektion from Aschaffenburg. {
