Christopher Lambert, the French-American actor who starred in 'Highlander,' collapsed at Steel City Comic-Con while meeting fans during an autograph session. The 69-year-old was treated by medics at the venue and taken to a hospital.
The incident occurred on Saturday, Aug 8, at the convention held in Pittsburgh. Witnesses said Lambert appeared shaky before being placed in an ambulance and transported to a nearby hospital. He had fallen ill while meeting fans, prompting staff to call emergency responders and escort him from the venue, according to a witness who spoke to TMZ.

A representative for Lambert told TMZ that the actor was 'perfectly OK' and resting at his hotel. Lambert's team said he had barely slept the night before and hadn't eaten enough that day, causing his blood sugar to drop and triggering the collapse.
He had to sit down, but he is doing great today.
Steel City Con organizers told People that Lambert had become overheated and dehydrated. Convention organizers also confirmed Lambert left due to a 'personal issue' and his scheduled photo op was cancelled. Reports from the two outlets offered differing explanations: TMZ cited fatigue and low blood sugar, while organizers mentioned overheating and a 'personal issue.'.
A representative for Lambert did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Last year, Lambert suffered a fall that forced him to cancel an appearance at Sweden's SciFiWorld festival. That fall caused a back injury and happened at a hotel. The canceled appearance was scheduled for March 2025, and Lambert's team said at the time that filming commitments had to take priority while he recovered from the injury.
Lambert is known for roles in Highlander, Highlander II: The Quickening, Mortal Kombat and Fortress. He is scheduled to appear at Fan Expo Chicago and Mad Monster Expo in North Carolina later this month.
