Israel's public broadcaster, citing unnamed Israeli sources, reported that the military's response to alleged Hezbollah violations 'has not ended' and that 'sensitive operations' are under consideration.
Channel 13 reported that the Israeli army is preparing options for additional strikes in the coming hours following the first wave of attacks on southern Lebanon.
Channel 12 reported that the Israeli military urged the political leadership to approve a 'stronger and more decisive' response in Lebanon.
Casualties and military activity
An explosion in the Majdal Zoun area of southern Lebanon on Wednesday targeted an Israeli force and caused casualties. Four seriously wounded soldiers were evacuated by military helicopters to Rambam Medical Center in Israel, though the Israeli army has not issued an official casualty toll.
Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported that Israeli strikes on the southern town of Tebnine, Lebanon, killed one person and injured 12 others. In the town of Mansouri, Lebanon, families fled after the Israeli army issued an evacuation warning.

Diplomatic efforts in Rome
The second day of the second round of indirect Lebanon-Israel talks was held in Rome, Italy. Lebanese officials are seeking to limit the scale of the Israeli response during the US-mediated talks, hoping the US will press Israel to avoid further escalation.
Five previous rounds of negotiations were held in Washington, US, as part of a US-sponsored negotiating process.
