Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz stated that Israel wanted to attack Iran's energy infrastructure but the United States did not approve, according to remarks reported by Israeli media.

Katz explained that the US is concerned Iran would retaliate against neighboring countries, potentially triggering a global oil crisis. He also noted that US warplanes attacking Iran take off from Israeli airbases.

The defense minister asserted that Iran has not attacked Israel due to Israel's deterrence, and that the US has more interests in Iran than Israel does.

35,000+ missiles and bombs

Launched by Israel in attacks on Iran over the past two years, Katz said.

Katz emphasized that Israel is prepared to carry out attacks independent of the US. He also claimed that Iran has attempted to target Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials, and that the Shin Bet has prevented these attempts.

Israeli press reported that Netanyahu secretly left Israel for a US visit due to Iranian security concerns. Katz stated that Trump understands Israel will not withdraw from buffer zones in Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria.

Katz said about 70% of Gaza has been destroyed, and that Shujaiya and Jabalia no longer exist. He warned that if Iran attacks Israel, Israel will respond with full force.

We are ready to take Iran back 40 years.
