Israeli forces raided and searched a house in Wadi al-Ruqqad, located in the western Daraa countryside of Syria, Alikhbaria TV reported.

The incursion in southern Syria comes amid months of recurring Israeli activities, including raids, searches, and arrests in the region.

Shifts in southern Syria

Israeli operations in southern Syria have intensified following the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024. Since the ouster of Assad, Israeli troops have moved beyond the 1974 disengagement line and into Syria's southern provinces.

Israel has declared the collapse of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement and has seized control of the Syrian buffer zone.
