Rod Liddle, a newspaper columnist and broadcaster, has died at the age of 66 after a short illness.
Liddle died on a Sunday evening at The James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, UK.
A columnist for the Sunday Times and the Sun, Liddle also wrote a weekly column for Spectator magazine.

Liddle previously edited the BBC Radio 4 Today programme, which he left in 2002.
