A 29-year-old man of Syrian nationality has been arrested on suspicion of double homicide in Augsburg, Germany. An investigating judge issued an arrest warrant for the man following the discovery of two bodies.
The victims have been identified as a 39-year-old Syrian national and a 54-year-old Iraqi national.
Police officers were searching an area in southern Augsburg on Tuesday morning.
There are currently no indications of other suspects.
A police spokesperson stated that the 29-year-old is a suspect in the double homicide but would not confirm if the suspect or the victims resided in an asylum shelter near the scene.
