Rod Stewart has cancelled the remaining dates of his US tour following a heart procedure. The singer previously cancelled shows in Cincinnati on Sunday and Cleveland on Tuesday, citing an unforeseen but minor medical procedure.
According to a statement posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Stewart successfully underwent a routine coronary stent procedure following further medical evaluation. A stent is a small wire tube that can be inserted into coronary arteries if they have become narrowed or blocked.
While the singer was scheduled to perform 11 concerts in the US in the coming weeks, including a six-date residency in Las Vegas, he will be unable to continue his current tour dates.
Stewart, known for hits such as Maggie May, Sailing, and Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?, stated on Instagram that he is feeling better and is on the mend. He expressed being deeply disappointed to miss the shows and sorry to let his fans down.

The Instagram statement added that doctors are pleased with his recovery and that Stewart has returned to his normal daily activities. Information regarding the affected performances will be communicated by the respective promoters and venues.
Stewart currently has three tour dates scheduled for Mexico in September, for which tickets remain on sale.
