In Amasya, Turkey, gendarmerie teams captured a suspect who was wanted internationally by Interpol through a red notice.
The suspect, identified as H.B., was the subject of legal proceedings in Germany for attempted murder.
The operation, conducted by Amasya’s Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Teams (JASAT), Merzifon District Gendarmerie Command, and the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Department, followed intelligence that H.B. was in the Merzifon district.
After technical and physical surveillance, H.B. was detained and will be transferred to the Ankara Removal Center for extradition to Germany.
