A three-year-old girl is missing in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. According to police, the child left her apartment in the town of Preetz, located in the Plön district, at noon on Wednesday.
The search area includes the city center of Preetz, adjacent open spaces, and an allotment garden, according to NDR. Search efforts have involved the use of a helicopter and drones.
Between 30 and 50 residents searched for the child until late at night alongside numerous police officers and firefighters. Preetz is located approximately 18 kilometers southeast of Kiel.
Police described the girl as slim with black hair tied in a ponytail. She was wearing a black top with bows, beige trousers with bows, and pink Crocs.
The girl is described as shy. Police stated that the girl is autistic and may have hidden herself.
The three-year-old is in urgent need of medical assistance.
