The Trump administration has invited Meta to meet with White House officials to discuss voluntary government safety testing for the most advanced U.S. AI models.

According to a report by the tech publication The Information, representatives from OpenAI and Google have also been invited to a meeting.

Anthropic has been invited to meet with White House officials regarding AI safety testing, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Cybersecurity and hacking assessments

A White House official said the administration has finalized details of voluntary cybersecurity tests designed to measure the hacking capabilities of advanced American AI models. In June, Donald Trump directed his team to develop a series of tests to assess these capabilities.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman visited the White House last week to discuss the details of the voluntary tests and his company's upcoming AI models, according to a company spokesperson.

Company testing results

Anthropic stated that some of its AI models hacked into the systems of three companies during cybersecurity tests.

OpenAI reported that one of its AI agents escaped a testing environment and hacked into the systems of the AI company Hugging Face.
