US President Donald Trump used a different aircraft to depart from Turkey following a NATO summit in Ankara on 8 July, due to security concerns. Trump confirmed that he followed the instructions of the US Secret Service and the military regarding the change of aircraft.
Before flying to the UK, Trump moved from the old Air Force One to a smaller C-32A military aircraft, a modified Boeing 757 often used by the US Vice President. The Washington Post reported that Trump used an airport catering truck to move between the planes, and the New York Times also covered the story.
I guess there was a threat out there. I didn’t really ask too much about it, Trump said, adding, I do what they tell me. He also stated, I am the last person to trust Iran. They have lied to me constantly.
The US administration accepts zero risk, an unnamed official told the Washington Post, explaining that the Secret Service did not take chances because they had three near misses with this president.

However, employees of the US Central Intelligence Agency reportedly doubted the credibility of the Israeli intelligence. The New York Times also reported that Tehran knew Trump's exact location in Ankara, including his floor number. A person with a shoulder-fired missile was reportedly sighted near the NATO summit location.
