Via Truth Social, Trump announced the continuation of the sea blockade against Iran. He stated that the U.S. military will block Iranian ports until there is an agreement or a complete surrender from Tehran.
Addressing claims that no talks are occurring to end the war, Trump called the Iranian leadership two-faced. He asserted that the U.S. is discussing a solution for a problem Iran has caused for decades, referring to the Iranian nuclear program, and affirmed that Iran will never have nuclear weapons.
Diplomatic and Maritime Developments
In Doha, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Madschid al-Ansari stated that mediation efforts to resolve the conflict between the U.S. and Iran are ongoing. Al-Ansari described these diplomatic efforts as being already far advanced, though no agreement has been reached yet.
No agreement has been reached regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
The UK Maritime Intelligence Users Group (UKMTO) reported that a ship was attacked by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz, approximately 37 kilometers northeast of the Omani town of Al Khasab.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that the focus of bilateral talks with Oman is the creation of safe shipping routes in both directions. According to the Iranian state news agency Irna, the creation of these routes aims to respect sovereignty rights while accounting for the national security interests of both Iran and Oman.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth rejected a media report claiming that almost 80 percent of defense missiles for a key U.S. military missile defense system had been depleted in the Iran war. On the platform X, Hegseth stated that a CNN banner regarding the depletion of U.S. missiles was not true.
