The Turkish Ministry of Interior announced that 104 suspects were apprehended during simultaneous operations targeting ISIS (DAESH) across 30 provinces in Turkey.
The operations were conducted by the Turkish Gendarmerie General Command's Counter-Terrorism Department in coordination with Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices.
According to the Ministry, the apprehended individuals were identified as members of the ISIS terrorist organization. The suspects were also identified as providing financing to ISIS through affiliated individuals and so-called aid organizations, as well as conducting propaganda via social media accounts.
The operations took place in Adana, Ağrı, Amasya, Antalya, Batman, Burdur, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Erzincan, Gaziantep, Hatay, Iğdır, İstanbul, Karaman, Kırklareli, Kilis, Kocaeli, Konya, Mardin, Muğla, Muş, Niğde, Samsun, Sivas, Şanlıurfa, Tekirdağ, Van, Yalova, and Yozgat.
The Turkish Ministry of Interior stated that judicial investigations have been launched against the suspects by the Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices.
