A new formation is emerging in transportation, energy, and logistics along a line extending from the Caspian Sea to the Caucasus and the Persian Gulf, according to Kürşad Zorlu, AK Party Deputy Chairman and Head of Relations with Turkic States. Zorlu stated that the Turkic world is at the center of this formation.
Regarding energy, Türkiye has acquired a 15% stake in an international company involved in production and development in the Kirkuk oil fields. The Kirkuk oil field is estimated to have nearly 3 billion barrels of crude oil reserves.
Transportation and travel initiatives
The Development Road Project and the Ovaköy Border Gate are central to a transportation line recorded in an agreement.
Efforts are underway to expand the current system of traveling with an ID card instead of a passport to the entire Turkic world. Currently, ID card travel is possible between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as between Türkiye and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Additional measures include work on a common museum card application among Turkic states. Zorlu also stated that work is being conducted with Turkish Airlines and other air transport companies to arrange flight frequencies and prices.

Tourism figures show approximately 1 million people travel from Türkiye to Turkic states annually, while approximately 3.5 million travel from Turkic states to Türkiye.
Civil society and upcoming summits
The Turkic World Civil Society Support System (TÜDSES) mobile application was downloaded by more than 60,000 people within approximately 15 days.
Preparations are in the final stages to make Nevruz Day an official holiday.
The 13th Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States is scheduled to be held at the end of October, hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
