A US federal appeals court has ruled that the Trump administration cannot implement a mail-in voting order, according to court documents.

The ruling was issued by the 1st U.S. Circuit of Appeals, which declined to lift a lower-court injunction from June that had blocked the order.

The decision was made on Saturday, according to reports.

Midterm elections are scheduled in the coming months, with control of the US House of Representatives and the US Senate at stake.
