Murphy said the war needs to end because the continuation of the conflict results in America becoming weaker and Iran becoming stronger. He added that as prices rise, people in the United States are affected.

Regarding potential negotiations, Murphy said he is prepared to support a bad deal to end the war and open the Strait, calling it the only available option.
