· date approximate Background
Reports in May cited supply chain sources stating the device would come in classic silver/white and a Deep Blue-like option.
Around May 2026, reports citing supply chain sources said Apple's foldable device—referred to as the iPhone Ultra—would be offered in classic silver/white and a blue option similar to the Deep Blue tone on the iPhone 17 Pro.
Leaked camera protector accessories appeared to show a classic silver finish and a very dark blue tone, supporting those reports and contrasting with an earlier February rumor of dark gray or black and white or light silver shades.
Apple did not officially confirm the colors; the information came from third-party accessory leaks. The device is expected to feature a horizontally folding tablet-like wide-screen design and be introduced at the September event.

A rumor in February suggested the iPhone Ultra would be offered in dark gray/black and white/light silver shades.
Around February 2026, an earlier rumor suggested the iPhone Ultra would be offered in a dark gray or black shade and a white or light silver shade. The iPhone Ultra is expected to be Apple's first foldable phone and is said to feature a horizontally folding tablet-like wide-screen design, unlike traditional foldable phones.
Later, leaker Sonny Dickson shared photos of third-party camera protector accessories for the iPhone Ultra. The leaked protectors showed a classic silver color and a dark tone; according to one report, the dark tone appeared as a very dark blue rather than dark gray, suggesting Apple may have changed its color palette at a late stage. A May report citing supply chain sources also said the device would come in classic silver/white and a blue option similar to the iPhone 17 Pro's 'Deep Blue' tone.
Apple has not officially confirmed the iPhone Ultra's colors; the information comes from third-party accessory leaks. The device is expected to be introduced at the September event this year.
