In recent years, cracks were observed in the door corner area of the previous Boeing 737 New Generation model. Specifically, these cracks were detected in a structure known as the 'bear strap,' which reinforces the fuselage around the front door on some older models.
A Boeing spokesperson stated that the company has been working with airlines operating these aircraft for several years after first identifying and notifying them of the issue in 2019.
