French teen fined S$600 for licking iJooz straw and replacing it

The teenager licked a straw and placed it back on an iJooz vending machine dispenser while filming the act.
In early 2020, a teenager was observed purchasing a drink from an iJooz vending machine and licking approximately half of a straw. He then placed the used straw back into the dispenser while filming the act for a video.
Following the incident, iJooz replaced all 500 straws in the dispenser. While the replacement cost a total of S$5, it was noted that no one actually used the contaminated straw before they were removed.
