Public Utility Commission of Texas staff recommended the Quadvest acquisition proceed without a hearing.
On July 9, 2026, Public Utility Commission of Texas staff recommended that H2O America's proposed Quadvest acquisition serves the public interest and could proceed without a hearing. The recommendation was disclosed by H2O America President and COO Bruce Hauk.
With no other party requesting a hearing by the July 16 deadline, H2O America expects the matter to proceed under an Aug. 26 statutory deadline. Management indicated the acquisition could close near the end of the third quarter or in early fourth quarter 2026.
Quadvest served over 59,800 active water and wastewater connections at the end of June, a 10% increase in the first half. H2O America plans to file a combined Texas general rate case after closing the Quadvest and Cibolo Valley transactions, targeting early 2027 filing and new rates in early 2028.
