During the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, reports surfaced concerning morphological advantages in professional cycling. Similar concerns had also been noted during the Giro d'Italia the previous year.
In response to such reports, the UCI issued a communiqué to various teams. The governing body stated that particular attention would be paid to compliance with Article 1.3.032 of the UCI regulations, which concerns non-essential elements and clothing that could modify a rider's morphology.
