On October 10, 2025, a ceasefire agreement came into effect following an announcement by US President Donald Trump and the Peace Board. The agreement included a detailed 15-point roadmap for the implementation of the ceasefire, which detailed the next phase of the process. According to the Peace Board, Hamas had accepted a roadmap for the ceasefire, which included the complete disarmament of Hamas and other armed groups in Gaza, alongside a phased withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Since the ceasefire took effect, reports indicate that Israeli attacks in Gaza have continued. Various figures from Gaza health authorities and other sources report that since the October 10 agreement, the death toll from Israeli strikes has reached at least 1,250 people, with 4,110 others injured. Hamas has accused Israel of deliberately escalating attacks to obstruct the implementation of the understandings reached with mediators and the US administration, calling on guarantors to pressure Israel to comply with the agreement.
