Four-time NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former Director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, for invoking the Fifth Amendment during a Senate hearing regarding the coronavirus pandemic.
During an appearance on Pat McAfee's talk show on Monday, Rodgers referred to Fauci as an 'absolute coward' and a 'criminal' for his decision to invoke the Fifth Amendment.

Rodgers also addressed previous comments regarding his COVID-19 status. In August 2021, he used the term 'immunized' to describe his status, several months before testing positive for COVID-19 on Nov. 3, 2021.
Speaking on the Pat McAfee show, Rodgers admitted he 'misled people' by using the word 'immunized' but maintained that he did not lie. This follows a period where the NFL and the NFLPA denied his appeal to treat his alternative antibody treatment as equivalent to COVID-19 vaccination.
