Apple is expected to introduce eight new products at its upcoming large launch event in September. Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman reported that the company will unveil these devices next month, marking a significant expansion of its hardware lineup.
Foldable iPhone Ultra Debuts
The centerpiece of the September event is expected to be a long-awaited foldable iPhone model. Referred to as the iPhone Ultra, this device represents Apple’s first entry into the foldable smartphone market.
The foldable iPhone, referred to as the iPhone Ultra, is expected to have a passport-shaped design with a 7.8-inch foldable display and a 5.4-inch cover screen.
The iPhone Ultra is expected to feature a build blending aluminum and titanium with a thickness between 4.5 and 4.8mm when unfolded.
Internally, the device is expected to include an A20 chipset, an A20 Pro chipset, a 4,883 mAh battery, an Apple C2 modem, and a Touch ID fingerprint scanner in the power button. The camera system is projected to have a pair of 48MP cameras positioned horizontally and two separate 24MP selfie cameras. The cheapest variant could cost as much as $2,500.
IPhone 18 Pro Series Updates
Apple will also introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at the September event. These models are expected to feature larger batteries, a variable aperture camera lens, the A20 Pro chipset, and a range of new colors.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to have a smaller Dynamic Island. However, under-display Face ID technology is not expected to arrive for at least another year. The standard iPhone 18 and a new iPhone Air are expected to be released in the first quarter of 2027.
Wearables and Home Devices
The event is also expected to feature the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. These devices are anticipated to focus on performance-based upgrades rather than major design changes. Apple may offer a Ceramic case option for the Apple Watch for the first time in several years.
In the smart home category, Apple may introduce a new Apple TV 4K and a new HomePod mini. The new HomePod mini is expected to be based on the new generation of Siri, also known as Siri AI. Additionally, the company may introduce a smart home control center called 'HomePad', described as a mix between an iPad and a HomePod.
Looking beyond September, Apple may introduce M6 chip MacBook Pros, new iMacs, and a MacBook Ultra with a touch-sensitive OLED screen in October. A camera-equipped AirPods Ultra model may also be introduced soon.
