Former England Test captain Ben Stokes has stated that he would love to become the coach of the England national team in the future. Speaking on the 'For the Love of Cricket' podcast, the 35-year-old all-rounder confirmed his interest in a coaching role.
And would I love to be coach of England one day? Absolutely.
Stokes, who served as England's Test captain from 2022 until his retirement from international cricket in June, is currently completing his level three coaching certification while still playing.
Regarding the current captaincy, Stokes expressed surprise that batter Harry Brook did not succeed him as England Test captain. Stokes described Brook as a 'freakishly talented' player.
