Benfica from Portugal defeated Hearts from Scotland with a 6-1 scoreline. Former Beşiktaş player Rafa Silva scored the first goal of the match in the 3rd minute. Other goals for Benfica were scored by Jhon Duran and Pavlidis.

In another match, Beşiktaş defeated the Czech team Hradec Kralove 1-0 away. Semih Kılıçsoy scored the winning goal in the 80th minute, while Kassoum Ouattara received a red card in the 71st minute of the game.

Other qualifying round results

Jagiellonia from Poland defeated Rangers from Scotland 2-1, and Lech Poznan from Poland won 1-0 against Klaksvik from the Faroe Islands. Salzburg from Austria secured a 1-0 victory over Pafos from Cyprus, while Anderlecht from Belgium defeated PAOK from Greece 1-0.

Thun from Switzerland defeated Vikingur from Iceland 3-0. CSKA Sofia from Bulgaria won 0-3 against Maccabi Tel Aviv from Israel. Matches between KuPS Kuopio from Finland and Universitatea Craiova from Romania, as well as between Lincoln Red Imps from Gibraltar and Omonoia from Cyprus, both ended in 1-1 draws.

The second leg matches of the UEFA Europa League 3rd qualifying round are scheduled to be played on August 11 and 13.
