A new blood test designated as New Alzheimer's has been identified as a method to predict which individuals are likely to develop dementia within a five-to-ten-year timeframe.
In addition to the 10-year predictive window, a second blood test known as An Alzheimer's has been noted for its potential to both diagnose and predict the disease.
While the An Alzheimer's blood test is considered promising, reports indicate it is not yet ready for widespread clinical use.
Further research highlights that a blood test could also serve as a tool to identify individuals at high risk for Alzheimer's disease.
