Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha has arrived in Chile to join the football club Colo-Colo. The player, whose real name is Josimar Jose Evore Dias, is expected to make his debut for the club on August 16 against O'Higgins.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper will sign a six-month contract with Colo-Colo, which includes the possibility of a one-year extension. The club has received permission to use the player's nickname on his shirt. In Portuguese, the nickname Vozinha means 'little grandmother'.
Vozinha's social media following increased from approximately 50,000 following his performance against Spain in June.
Vozinha's career includes stints with the Portuguese second division side Chaves, as well as clubs in Angola, Cyprus, Moldova, and Slovakia.
