Genesis launched its first globally available high-performance model, the GV60 Magma, but executives have hinted that even more exclusive vehicles could sit above the Magma range. The brand is exploring a potential ultra-tier that might compete with the Mercedes-AMG Black Series and BMW M Competition variants.

The brand has already tested performance credibility with a debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where it finished the race. Its Le Mans program formed only a year and a half before the event. Genesis is also developing a mid-engine sports car that will serve as the basis for a GT3-class race car.
Last year, Genesis previewed a sports car called the Magma GT. In the Middle East, the brand sold 20 examples of the G80 Magma, a 525-horsepower sedan with unique styling. Genesis is also adding a flagship SUV with coach doors and may introduce a model smaller than the GV60.
