Google will no longer support the 'Send mail as' feature for third-party email addresses, such as @yahoo.com or @outlook.com, starting in January 2027.

According to Google's help documentation, support for these third-party email accounts will be phased out beginning in January 2027.

The removal of the 'Send mail as' functionality for third-party addresses will not affect Google Workspace aliases or other Gmail addresses owned by the user.

Removal of Gmailify and POP infrastructure

In addition to the 'Send mail as' feature, Google is removing Gmailify—a service providing spam protection and inbox organization for external accounts—and the web-based POP email fetching infrastructure.
