Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Ultra models next month. Ahead of the launch, photographs allegedly showing the iPhone 18 Pro Max battery have surfaced from China.

The leaker Yeuz1122 shared three new photographs of the alleged battery to Naver. The leaked battery image shows the Apple logo and regulatory text.

One of the leaked photographs shows the battery capacity labeled as 5,391 mAh in the regulatory text section. The leaked battery is believed to belong to the physical SIM card version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, expected to be sold in China. The Chinese market typically sells models with a physical SIM card slot.

Conflicting leak history

Earlier leaks claimed the physical SIM card version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max would have a 5,235 mAh battery. A subsequent leak updated the physical SIM card version's battery capacity to 5,391 mAh and the eSIM-only version to 5,567 mAh.

A July 6 leak, listed the U.S. version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max battery capacity as 5,391 mAh. Earlier leaks claimed the eSIM-only version of the iPhone 18 Pro Max would have a 5,567 mAh battery.

Pro model comparisons

For the smaller Pro model, the eSIM-only version of the iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to have a 4,288 mAh battery. The physical SIM card version of the iPhone 18 Pro is rumored to have a 4,056 mAh battery.

The iPhone 18 Pro's battery capacity is expected to be only 1% to 2% larger than the iPhone 17 Pro's. In contrast, the iPhone 18 Pro Max is expected to offer a 9% to 12% higher battery capacity compared to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Apple has not officially confirmed the battery capacities for the iPhone 18 series.
