The car ran on Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tires during the record attempt. A Mercedes spokesperson told CarBuzz that the CLA 45 is the first record-holder in a new Nürburgring class called 'Electric Compactcars'. The record was set on July 28.

Performance figures for the 0-62 mph sprint vary: one report cites 2.7 seconds, while another states 3.0 seconds flat. The car also produces up to 1,297 lb-ft (1,759 Nm) of torque and weighs 5,026 pounds. It is scheduled to go on sale in Europe in 2027.
