Mercedes-AMG has scheduled the 2027 GT53 4-Door EV for sale in 2027. As an entry-level variant of the Mercedes-AMG GT range, the vehicle will utilize an 800-volt architecture and is equipped with two electric drive motors, with one mounted on each axle.
The electric model is reported to deliver 536 hp and 590 pound-feet of torque. It is claimed to reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and has a top speed of 230 km/h.

To simulate traditional combustion performance, the GT53 4-Door EV uses 16 microphones to capture the sound of a straight-six engine for playback. While the vehicle does not have a real inline-six engine, it features what is described as an 'authentic' inline-six sound.
Battery and Charging Capabilities
The vehicle features a 106 kWh usable battery pack. Estimates for the total range of the vehicle vary; one source estimates a range of approximately 423 miles, while another claims a range of 809 km.
Charging performance is also subject to differing reports. One claim states that approximately 280 miles of range can be added in 10 minutes at a sufficiently powerful DC fast-charging station, while another claim states the vehicle can travel 534 km with 10 minutes of charging. Additionally, the vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in 11 minutes when supported by 600 kW charging.
Model Comparisons
The GT53 4-Door EV is expected to have a starting price well under the estimated $140,000 starting price of the Mercedes-AMG GT63. The GT53 4-Door EV is reported to have more range than the GT 55 and GT 63 models.
The Mercedes-AMG GT63 features 1,153 hp and 2,000 Nm of torque. Unlike the GT53, the more powerful GT models feature a triple-motor setup. The Mercedes-AMG GT55 features 805 hp and uses three different YASA-signed electric motors, with two in the rear and one in the front.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé, which was inspired by the AMG GT XX concept, comes standard with the AMG 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.
