Microsoft is preparing to completely redesign the Windows 11 right-click context menu, according to a report shared by Windows Central. {
The current Windows 11 context menu can sometimes take more than a second to load all options due to the addition of third-party software. The menu becomes crowded with both Microsoft's own shortcuts and items added by third-party applications, causing noticeable delays in File Explorer. {
Customization and speed improvements
The new design aims to prioritize frequently used functions instead of loading all applications simultaneously to ensure faster opening. A new 'Customize' button will be added to the menu, allowing users to select which functions to see, hide unwanted ones, and change the order of options. {
This new 'Customize' option is expected to be located at the bottom of the menu. {
