Microsoft is testing free, ad-supported cloud gaming for Xbox Insiders, according to an announcement today. The trial allows eligible users to stream games from their digital libraries without an active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, with revenue generated through advertising.
Xbox Insiders can now access free streaming sessions for games they already own, the company said. Each session is capped at one hour, and ads will only play before the session begins, not during gameplay.
