TEKNOFEST Mavi Vatan is scheduled to take place between August 20-23 at the Gölcük Shipyard Command in Turkey.
Competitions and maritime technology
The event features three primary competition categories: Unmanned Underwater Systems, Underwater Rocket, and Unmanned Sea Vehicle (İDA). The Unmanned Sea Vehicle (İDA) competition involves autonomous surface vehicles that may operate in swarms for the security of the 'Blue Homeland' (Mavi Vatan).
Naval demonstrations and visitor activities
Visitors to the event will be able to tour naval vessels from the Turkish Naval Forces inventory. The program includes demonstrations by naval aviation units and the SAT (Underwater Attack) and SAS (Underwater Defense) units of the Turkish Naval Forces.
The event also includes virtual reality (VR) game and simulation areas, alongside special experience areas regarding maritime history.
Updates
The event serves as the final stage for three specific competitions, including Unmanned Underwater Systems and Underwater Rocket contests, where engineering candidates can test their prototypes in a military shipyard environment. According to a written statement from TEKNOFEST, the festival represents the maritime reflection of the National Technology Move vision and aims to eliminate Türkiye's foreign dependency in surface and underwater technologies.
