The USA Women's Basketball team has confirmed its 12-player roster for the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup in Germany. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Berlin from September 4 to September 13.
The roster includes WNBA MVPs Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty and A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces. Stewart and Wilson have won a combined six WNBA MVP awards. Other players included in the squad are Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, Angel Reese, and Aliyah Boston.
The USA team has won the World Cup title for the last four consecutive times.
Coaching and management reactions
USA head coach Kara Lawson stated that the 12 selected players earned their spots through their performances and consistency. Lawson attributed the lengthy process of reducing the roster to the depth of talent in the country.

Tournament groups and schedule
The USA team is placed in Group D alongside the Czech Republic, Italy, and China. The WNBA season will pause for 17 days starting August 31 for the World Cup.
Germany is placed in Group A alongside Spain, Japan, and Mali. The German Basketball Federation (DBB) roster features five WNBA players: Leonie Fiebich, Satou Sabally, Nyara Sabally, Luisa Geiselsöder, and Frieda Bühner.
The tournament final on September 13 will be broadcast by the Estonian television channel ETV2.
