Xiaomi Auto has launched the SkyNomad series of extended-range electric SUVs, introducing the N70 and N90 Max models. Pre-sales for the vehicles began in China on July 30, with the official launch scheduled for September 2026.

The flagship N90 Max is a seven-seat vehicle measuring 5,285 mm in length with a 3,080 mm wheelbase. It is powered by a 1.5-liter range extender engine developed with Dongan, a subsidiary of Changan, which produces 112 kW (150 hp) and can operate on 92, 95, or 98 octane gasoline.

The vehicle offers two battery options: a 52 kWh LFP pack from Sunwoda and a 76 kWh NMC pack from CALB. Depending on the configuration, the pure electric range is between 464 km and 505 km under CLTC conditions. The total combined range exceeds 1,705 km.

Performance figures include a top speed of 190 km/h and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The 76 kWh battery supports DC fast charging, reaching 80% charge from 20% in 18 minutes. A 15-minute charge provides approximately 285 km of range.

Interior and Technology

The N90 Max interior features front seats that rotate 180 degrees to face the second row, with a center console table option. Standard equipment includes 16-point massage and zero-gravity mode for the first and second rows. The cabin includes a 16.1-inch main touchscreen, a 21.4-inch ceiling screen, and an integrated refrigerator.

A Camping Edition is available, featuring a pop-up top, rooftop bed platform, tent attachment, and detachable table. Some models include a fridge and overhead speakers. The body structure consists of 90.4% high-strength steel and aluminum alloy, with 16 points reinforced with 2200 MPa steel.

Technology features include an Nvidia Thor 4nm chip with 700 TOPS processing power, ceiling-mounted LiDAR, AI voice control, dual 5G/Wi-Fi connectivity, and a 7.1.4 sound system with 25 speakers totaling 4,890 W. The vehicle has a turning radius of 5.95 meters and a braking distance of 38.57 meters from 100-0 km/h.

N70 Model and Pricing

The smaller SkyNomad N70 has a length of 4,960 mm and offers five-seat configurations. It is built on an extended-range technology platform. Powertrain options include a rear motor producing 210 kW (282 hp) or dual motors with all-wheel drive producing 310 kW (416 hp).

Pre-order prices are set at 299,900 yuan for the N90 Max and starting at 259,900 yuan for the N70. The SkyNomad series competes with Li Auto, BYD, Zeekr, and Aito in the Chinese market. The N70 Max is Xiaomi's first extended-range EV.

Sales Context

Xiaomi Auto sold 185,055 vehicles in the first half of 2026, a 17.2% increase year-on-year. In June 2026, sales totaled 34,738 vehicles, capturing a 2.2% market share in China. Of these, 20,414 units were the SU7 sedan and 14,324 were the YU7 SUV.

The company has set a sales target of 550,000 units for 2026. Existing models include the SU7 sedan, starting at 215,900 yuan, and the YU7 SUV, starting at 253,500 yuan. High-performance Ultra versions of both models produce 1,548 hp.
