Apollo Group has announced the acquisition of the Norwegian fast-food chain Fly Chicken. The transaction is being carried out in cooperation with MM Group and remains subject to customary conditions and approvals.
The acquisition marks a significant expansion for Apollo Group, which currently operates 38 KFC restaurants across the Baltics and Finland. Norway will become the group's fifth market for the brand.
Expansion and Conversion Plans
Apollo Group intends to convert most of Fly Chicken's 19 restaurants into KFC locations. Fly Chicken was founded in 2018 and reported a turnover of approximately 14 million euros last year.
Tiivel added that Fly Chicken’s existing network and experienced team provide a solid foundation for developing the KFC brand in Norway.
Operational Continuity
Following the transaction, Fly Chicken co-founder and CEO Ronny Gjøse will continue to manage the company.
