The Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices rose in July 2025 compared to the previous year.
According to preliminary estimates from Statistics Estonia, the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) rose by 2 percent in July 2025 compared to July of the previous year. This figure represents a flash estimate that is subject to refinement as more detailed price data is received.
The increase in the index was primarily driven by higher costs related to housing, as well as accommodation and food services. Unlike the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the HICP accounts for expenditures made by tourists, which is a factor during Estonia's peak tourist season in July.
