The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) partially upheld the appeal of Mudryk against a four-year doping ban, according to reports.
The English Football Association (FA) and Mudryk resolved anti-doping disciplinary proceedings in agreement with the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), according to reports.
Mudryk, a Ukraine international, is 25 years old according to most sources, though one identified him as 24.
Mudryk returned an adverse analytical finding for the banned substance meldonium. The finding occurred in an anti-doping test in October 2024, leading to his provisional suspension in November 2024.
The FA issued Mudryk a four-year ban in April, which was set to run until 2028, according to reports.
As part of the agreement, Mudryk accepted that he had committed the Anti-Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) charged, according to reports. He also acceded to a period of ineligibility equal to the time served at the date of the agreement.
The FA noted that Mudryk would not have returned an adverse finding under WADA's current technical document due to changes made after the test.
