Three MotoAmerica Feature Classes—Supersport, Twins Cup, and Talent Cup—are returning to the 2.25-mile, 17-turn VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) in Virginia, US, for critical championship rounds. The MotoAmerica weekend at the circuit will also include three Quad Lock Superbike races.
In the Supersport championship, Darryn Binder of Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse Ducati heads into Round 8 following a sweep of the Mid-Ohio weekend. Binder currently holds a 19-point lead over Josh Herrin of Rahal Ducati Moto with Desnuda Organic Tequila. Herrin lost Race 2 at Mid-Ohio by less than a tenth of a second.
Total points remaining in the Supersport championship across three rounds
Binder also maintains a 102-point lead over Kayla Yaakov of Rahal Ducati Moto with Droplight in the Supersport standings. Competing behind the top three in the class are four-time Superbike champion Josh Hayes of BPR Racing Yamaha and Tyler Scott of M4 ECSTAR Suzuki, who rides a Suzuki GSX-R750.
Twins Cup title implications for Hank Vossberg
Hank Vossberg of Robem Engineering leads the MotoAmerica Twins Cup championship. The 16-year-old Wisconsin native holds a 63-point lead over M4 ECSTAR Suzuki's Matthew Chapin and a 70-point lead over Bodie Paige of M4 ECSTAR Suzuki.
With two rounds and 100 points remaining in the Twins Cup calendar, Vossberg can clinch the 2026 championship at VIR. To secure the title, Vossberg must maintain a lead of at least 76 points after Saturday's Race 1 or at least 51 points after Sunday's Race 2.
Talent Cup standings and competition
The Talent Cup returns for Round 6 at VIR. Kensei Matsudaira of Team Roberts, a 15-year-old Californian, is at the top of the standings after sweeping his home round at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Matsudaira holds a 23-point lead over Nathan Gouker of Quarterley Racing.
Gouker is from Lexington, North Carolina, US, located near the circuit. In the Talent Cup, where riders compete on identical machinery, the championship remains mathematically open as far down as eighth place with 150 points and three rounds remaining. However, the realistic title conversation involves four riders: Matsudaira, Gouker, Jake Paige of Team Hammer, and Sam Drane of Estenson BLU CRU Yamaha Racing.
Motul ADV Experience at VIR
The Motul ADV Experience, a dual-purpose festival for adventure riders, is also returning to the venue in 2026. Led by President of Americade Events and ADV Logistics Expert Christian Dutcher, the event includes the ADV Village, which features manufacturer displays and is free to MotoAmerica ticket holders.
The festival features a 7.5-mile mixed-terrain Mini Adventure Loop, Dragoo Adventure Rider Training (DART) clinics, the GIVI Obstacle Course, and the Slow Race challenge. On-site tent camping is available in a dedicated primitive camping area.
Additional amenities at the event include the PARTS Unlimited Lounge for aftermarket technology, the REV'IT! Morning Buzz coffee stop, and the Kid Zone, which operates from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Ball of Steel performances are scheduled for several times on both Saturday and Sunday. The event also allows for riding on nearby sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding trails.

Strack Racing's Blake Davis, a 20-year-old from Lynchburg, Virginia, is also noted in the proceedings; Lynchburg is located 80 miles from the circuit.
